Birds outside the cage will chew on the metal holder which is not stainless steel, but rather is painted. The paint as well as non stainless steel metal is toxic to birds. I ordered the feed dish wince I needed the actual cup itself. I have the stainless steel holder which came with the 5z stainless steel cup and stainless steel holder which I had purchased on Amazon, however, it's discontinued. It seems the companies selling the 5 oz feed dish (sometimes under other names), are using a holder which is other than stainless steel. Please bring this to the attention of the companies pushing the toxic metal holders, probably to save cost. People want non toxic stainless steel cups, along with non toxic stainless steel holders. Lots of birds travel around the cage and chew on the metal to sharpen their beaks. You may have stainless steel cups, but you have toxic holders. Now, does that make any sense? Please change this for all bird holders trying to care for their birds. .
